My husband and I live in Lawrenceville with our 2 kiddos. We transplanted from Metro Baltimore several years ago – before kids – and while it took some adjustments, we have grown to really appreciate (and love) living in the suburbs of Metro Atlanta.

I homeschool our children and we love the flexibility. I get excited for travel and to have new experiences. Some of the activities I enjoy outside of my work in the birth field include dancing, singing (I’m not that good, but it brings me joy just the same), traveling, and playing board and card games (especially Scrabble, Trivia and Heads Up). I also serve as President of my local chapter of the Ladies Homestead Gathering.

Before my own adventure began during my first pregnancy I came from the world of retail and restaurants. I chose to take a Hypnobabies® childbirth class near Lawrenceville to prepare for my natural hospital birth. You can read the story of my hospital birth at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville and my birth at home with Birthing Way Midwifery on my blog.

That childbirth class, along with my easy and comfortable childbirth, changed my life … I finally knew what I wanted to be when I grew up!

The path to doula care

Having experienced amazing births in a hospital setting and at home, I know that a great birth can happen anywhere!  Preparation and a positive outlook have a huge influence on the process.

I became a Hypnobabies® Childbirth Hypnosis Instructor & Birth Doula and started Adventures In Childbirth, LLC. I love being your Lawrenceville doula! My goal is to help equip all families with knowledge, power & confidence through pregnancy, childbirth & postpartum.
